The people wearing it

Nobody buys a college shirt for the sport itself, so the content that works is narrow: start from the school, then build around campus life. The buyer is usually a student or an alumnus, and the shirt is worn far more often outside the stadium than in it.

• Audience: students on campus, alumni and parents of players
• Why people buy it: school identity, alumni events and campus sports
• When it gets worn: campus week, homecoming, alumni weekend, game day
• Where this range sits: NCAA is the most fragmented of the four, so club loyalty matters more here than anywhere else on the shelf.

Details that matter when choosing this Kansas Jayhawks jersey

The Kansas Jayhawks Fan jersey is the base piece of the Jayhawks range: the same team colourway, number placement and lettering fans expect, cut in a shape you can wear all day.

Start from the Kansas Jayhawks jersey and the rest of the choice narrows quickly: Kansas Jayhawks colours, team styling, and a cut that works with jeans as easily as with shorts.

Filed under NCAA basketball jersey, this sits inside the NCAA side of the store, so it is filtered and compared against the rest of the NCAA range rather than the general basketball category.

If you are shopping Jayhawks college jersey, the deciding factors are usually fit and occasion rather than specifications: this one is a relaxed fan for men and women, cut to be worn regularly instead of once a season.

For anyone searching the History Month jersey, the back carries the History Month name and number treatment fans recognise, printed straight through the fabric so it stays legible after washing.

Where to wear it

Kickoff, tip-off, first pitch - it does not matter which. This is the shirt that comes out when the Kansas Jayhawks play.
